Boat Electrics & Electronics Ltd
Boat Electrics & Electronics has been trading since 1974; formed by the present MD and owner, Julian Coleman, the business was incorporated as a private company limited by guarantee in 1976.
We have four bases; Kip Marina by Greenock, Troon in Ayrshire, Oban in Argyll and Hessle by Hull.
Troon's harbour and marina can provide safe berthing for most vessels, and is rich in local services: boat / ship repair, dry docks, storage, fish market and ice factory, chandlers and engineers. Here we have our “Millicabin” in Troon Yacht Haven with a working display of Furuno, Icom and Raymarine equipment.
Our Kip shop and office is on the first floor of the Kip Marina Service Centre. We operate alongside other leisure service companies: Rigging, shipwrights, engineers, and of course there are all the facilities you would expect at “Scotland's Premier Marina”.
Near Oban... we have a workshop and administrative office only, allowing us to provide service in the Argyll area. There is no display facility here as yet, but watch this space!, If you need to visit, please call first..
WE recently completed the electronics installation on the Afon Cadnant, a 35M Ice Class anchor handling / supply / tug at Metaaldraaierij Sepers bv in Holland and last year we supplied and installed an electronics package to the Afon Caradog at Hepworth Shipyard in Hull. Other recent “fit outs” at Hepworths include the Afon Alaw and the Afon Braint, also for Holyhead Towing. The Sir John Murray, a 24m survey vessel for SEPA at St Monans, the Minna and the Jura, two new fishery protection vessels at Ferguson Shipbuilders in Port Glasgow.
We are currently working on another 35m tug for Holyhead Towing at Hepworths.
By Hull... Our latest branch is at Hessle in Dunston House, next to Enterprise Car Rental. John Okey and Norman Stacey along with Karen Mortimer will be pleased to assist you with your electronic problems.
