Founded in 1974 by Julian Coleman, Boat Electrics & Electronics Ltd is a family-owned and operated business with nearly 50 years of experience in the marine industry.

Originally established to support the Clyde fishing fleet in Scotland, we quickly expanded to serve both the leisure and commercial sectors. Under the leadership of Managing Director Simon Coleman, the company has experienced significant international growth, particularly in the commercial sector.

Today, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including electrical design, technical switchgear manufacturing, installation, navigation and communication equipment, as well as ongoing service and support.

With locations across the UK in Scotland, Lowestoft, the Isle of Wight, and Portland, we are well-positioned to meet the needs of our diverse customer base, which includes leisure, commercial, and MoD vessels both in the UK and globally.

Our team of over 30 full-time, talented staff work tirelessly to ensure every project is completed to the highest standards.
